DataWarehouse Explorer Description

The DataWarehouse Explorer is the reporting and Analysis tool of choice for companies with high demands for their business information. The worlds’ easiEST-to-deploy, Microsoft based, OLAP analysis and reporting tool excels in features, speed, deployment and user friendliness. DataWarehouse Explorer allows your company to get fast business insight through enablement of decision makers of any technical level to monitor, explore and analyze business data from any angle, in any conceivable Combination. The DataWarehouse Explorer supports a multitude of features for analyzing your business information, including: Drill-Down and Roll-Up Drilling down is the process of zooming in on data at lower level, thus seeing the members that make up the current value. E.g., when viewing your company’s gross profit per product, you can drill-down on a product category to see the profit per subcategory or product. Rolling-up is the inverse of drilling-down, thus rolling-up on a subcategory will provide the values per product category. Slicing Slicing data is the process of setting the context of the information you are viewing. E.g., you can view the sales per customer in the context of the year ‘2006’ for products ‘A’ and ‘B’. Setting the context is easy in DWE, just select the hierarchy for which you want to include in the current context a check the desired items. The left image shows you a selection of customer geography, which is an hierarchy in the selected cube. We have selected all customers from Birmingham and Huntsville (in Alabama, USA). Filtering You can filter your results to leave out or only include values that meet certain conditions. E.g., you can filter the results to only show the top or worst 10 customers for product ‘X’, or only show the products that generate profit instead of loss. Filtering can be achieved by simply clicking on the column header of the column on which you want to filter and defining The Filter conditions.
