Users view MPEG coded video and have complete management of the software through network that surveillance server can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Program`s modular composition drastically boosts reliability because all components proceed as independent programs. If one module stops working, other parts go on working. For instance if the `record` part stops working, `watchdog` restarts it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture through a `playback` part. The program performs `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be triggered by movement, human face detection, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance station as well as on remote pc using Web interface. The program performs simultaneous video playback for event examination from multiple cameras concurrently. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
