Colgrid.exe Description

The TColossalGrid is an advanced 32 bit grid control for use with Delphi and C++Builder. It is designed to replace both the TStringGrid and TDBGrid controls that come with VCL. Unlike most grid controls that add small enhancements to the existing VCL grids, the TColossalGrid does descent from the existing VCL grid classes. Therefore its appearance is a bit different from most grid controls. Features -Displays footers as well as headers. If your have ever tried to display a total row in a grid you will know this this is a real development time saver. -Multiple rows per record. Rather than force the user to scroll the grid to see all the columns place them on more than one row. -Multiple scrollable zones. Group columns into separate zones with different attributes. Most grids let you create fixed columns at the left but this one lts you create them anywhere. -A real ScrollBar. Unlike the VCL grids that have three positions (up, down and Middle) the TColossalGrid reflects the position of the record in the dataset. It also has a variable PaGE size to give the user a clue as to the number of records in the grid. -Bound and unbound columns at the same time. The VCL grids force you to choose one of the other. With the TColossalGrid you can have both. -Selection by cell, record, record and cell or none at all. -Change cell contents using an edit, memo, masked edit or combo box control. -Set appearance properties down to the individual columns. The appearance of individual cells can be controlled at run time.
