Chemistry Games, Labs, & Demos Description

Chemistry is at the core of various research fields, such as medicine. Some might regard it as a difficult subject in school, but with the right tools, anyone can easily learn even basic knowledge. This is where specialized applications such as Chemistry Games, Labs, & Demos comes in handy, equipped with all elements the name suggests.A little rough around the edgesAfter a short and uneventful setup process, you are free to take the app for a spin and go through a series of experiments and games that attempt to teach you the basics in chemistry. All elements are kept in a fun environment, but rather outdated and feels a little rough around the edges. What's more frustrating is the lack of a link between its sections and the main menu, leaving you stuck in every lesson, game or experiment you trigger. This means each time you want to access a new area the application needs to be restarted, so pick carefully or take your time with each section. Large variety of interactive learning modulesThere are up to eight modules you can access, most of them being equipped with additional methods or configurable options. Luckily, there's a short description accompanying each module, visible before it's launched so you know what you're up against. In terms of controls, games and simulations are rather easy to grasp, with helpful text and hints making sure you don't get stuck along the way. However, the overall design is rather poor and you need some time to get accommodated. Far from being a proThere are score trackers to keep you pushing forward, but you don't really get a sense of accomplishment in the end, especially because there's no way to save results and these are automatically discarded once you leave the module. Furthermore, you might feel a little confused if you don't know at least a little about chemical compounds and elements, mostly because you are directly thrown into action. Probably the most disappointing aspect of all is the missing periodic table, so you might want to look it up and keep it close by for better understanding. In conclusion All things considered, we can safely state that Chemistry Games, Labs, & Demos is a conglomeration of science and fun, but piled up in a rough and a little difficult to understand product. The idea behind the concept is neat, but the slightly outdated features, missing periodic table and proper navigation make its practicality questionable.
