Calvin 'n' Hobbes is a lightweight and simple-to-use gadget that can display some brief comic strips of the two famous cartoon characters. It can be seamlessly installed and configured, even by inexperienced users. The interface of the app is based on a small layout that displays random pictures of Calvin and Hobbes. Clicking the frame brings up a secondary window where you can check out comic strips. From the 'Options' screen, you can change the default image mode and make comics appear in a sequential order, as well as select a particular seed strip (out of a total of 1339 items). But you can also choose a sidebar image between 10 options, or make all pictures appear in a random order, as well as establish the cycle interval (in seconds). Additional features provided by the operating system allow you to make Calvin 'n' Hobbes stay on top of other applications, move its frame to any position on the screen, and adjust its opacity level between 20% and 100%. The small gadget runs on a very low amount of CPU and system memory, so it puts little strain on the computer's resources. We have not come across any issues during our evaluation; Calvin 'n' Hobbes did not cause the operating system to freeze, crash or display error dialogs.
