Size: 108.69 KB License: Shareware OS: Windows Price: $14.99 Buy full version Publisher: Sheppard Software Updated: 18 Mar 2011 Downloads: 493 (1 last week) Brain Builder - Math Edition includes over 500 million problems presented in a fun multimedia format. Sharpen your problem solving and critical thinking skills by tackling math puzzles that are presented at precisely your learning level. The program includes Multiple Choice Warm-up games and Three, Four, and Five Number Puzzle games. The problems are easy enough for a third grader to master, but at higher levels they will challenge even a math wizard. Watch your math scores climb dramatically as your rank advances from Learner all the way up to Math Genius. There are three levels of Warm-up games (Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced). The Basic game lets you select addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to practice on. The Intermediate game randomly uses any one of the four operations. The Advanced game also uses any one of the four operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in its problems. However, you must find ALL of the correct answers. For example if the question was 3 ? 6 = ? and your answer choices were 2, 3, 6, 9, and 18, you must click on four numbers (2, 6, 9 and 18). These Multiple Choice Warm-up games prepare you to play the Three, Four, and Five Number Puzzle games by making you familiar with using all of the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in problem solving. In the Three, Four, and Five Number Puzzle games you must solve the answer using ALL of the given puzzle numbers exactly ONCE. For example, a Three Number Puzzle puzzle problem is 3, 4, 5 = 2. The solution is 3+4 = 7, and 7-5=2. Each of the Three Number, Four Number and Five Number Puzzle games have four levels of difficulty. As well, all games have two different modes of play. You can select the "10 problem" mode, or "time trial" mode in which you must correctly answer as many problems as you can within a fixed time limit. Also features a special One-On-One combat option that makes math an exciting two-player game.
