Bible Text Searcher Description

The Bible Text Searcher application was designed to be a simple text searcher that can search for any words or phrases found in the Bible. It comes with three translations, although they are very similar to each other, and the wording in some verses may be identical. The three are King James, American Standard, and the World English Bible. The World English Bible (WEB) is the most modern version of these three. It is based on the American Standard version (written around 1900). If you want to learn more about the WEB, read on... Otherwise, skip on down to the instructions. The World English Bible is based on the American Standard version. The reason I used these three translations is because they are not tied down with copyright laws. Therefore, I could make and distribute this program much more economically than Bible programs that have to charge you for copyright fees, which are required of anyone using the NIV or NASB or most other modern english versions. Requirements: ￭ A standard display, mouse, and 13 MB of free hard disk space. I would recommend at least a pentium processor 166 MHz or faster, with at least 32 Mb of RAM, though I have run it successfully on older systems.
