Batch PDF Encrypt is a simple, free utility that encrypts any number of PDF files in a very convenient and flexible way. This reliable tool supports both password- and certificate-based protection methods, and lets you check or uncheck some of the permissions granted to the final user. This easy-to-use application is extremely useful when producing a large number of protected PDF files that do not require exclusive passwords. This does not prevent you from using different passwords and different certificates for various sets of files (or for a single file, for that matter). The Windows Seven-looking interface provided is very clear and, therefore, easy to move around. The upper ribbon includes all the choices you can make when protecting your files, including which actions will be allowed to the user once the PDF file has opened correctly. These include specific permissions for copying the content, for allowing screen readers to read the text out loud to blind and visually impaired users, or for editing and printing the PDF file with or without various restrictions.
