You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to list the files bundled in a custom folder on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps. Clean feature lineup BarrySoft DirLister sports a clean interface that allows you to perform most operations with minimal effort. You are allowed to select the directory that you want to scan and pick the saving directory. Configuration settingsThe program gives you the possibility to apply filters by extension, and you can manually insert the file types that are included in the scanning process. What’s more, you can include the file path and hidden files, scan subfolders, and pick the desired output format for the list that contains the needed information, namely XLS, HTML, or plain text file format. The generated list provides information about the files included in each directory, file name and type, as well as size. During our testing we have noticed that BarrySoft DirLister is able to process even large directories pretty quickly. However if you want to generate a list with all files stored in a partition, then the tool needs extra time for finishing the task. It is quite friendly with system resources, so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.
