prev next Autostitch allows you to create panoramic views automatically. I really had no idea such an application even existed. I was used to the idea of having applications tell me how to take pictures in order to create an average-looking panoramic scene. Even most cameras have a feature for this. Autostitch automatically detects the edges of landmarks and geographical features in your pictures and "stitches" them together to create a panoramic view. All you need to do is tell the application what pictures to use and it will render all your images into a single panoramic image. Of course, you are supposed to take pictures that are fit to be made into a panoramic view. But as long as all the pictures collectively show a building or part of a mountain, etc., your panoramic view will be good. There aren't really many options to play with. And I have noticed that Autostitch doesn't detect whether a picture is in the right orientation before starting the stitching process. So, you have to make sure that all your pictures don't need any rotation before you start.
