Autodesk Navisworks Freedom Description

Autodesk Navisworks Freedom is Autodesk’s efficient and reliable viewer for designs created with two of their products, namely Navisworks Manage and Autodesk Design Review. The benefits of having such a utility are numerous, being fit for anyone who wants to view, inspect, measure and animate a design without having to install the abovementioned giants. The appearance of Autodesk Navisworks Freedom follows the line implemented by Autodesk throughout their whole suite of products, sporting a professional yet intuitive design that appeals to both beginners and professionals. Most of the space inside the main window is dedicated to the design itself, which you can import using the main menu of the application. Formats such as NWD and 3D DWF files are accepted altogether, while the graphics are displayed wisely, with a quick toolbar on top of them for quick access to common operations such as selection methods and zoom. A quick walk through its menus will get you acquainted with viewpoint manipulations (perspective, zoom, pan, camera alignment), review options (point to point, angle, point line and area measurements), animation scenarios (turntable and walkthrough), views (full screen, split view and workspace management), as well as a group of utilities that allow you to reset the design’s appearance and transformations. Generally, the speed of the viewer is good, it allows for dynamic and interactive manipulations of the design, with an expected extra load of stress put on the CPU and RAM. On an ending note, Autodesk Navisworks Freedom comes in handy for designers, engineers and architects who want to study a design on a level that’s beyond the superficial approach provided by other programs.
