For them, it is enough if the drawings are in the business communication standard, the PDF document. This converter is a standalone tool and thus does not need any other software tool for support, definitely not the Acrobat tools. Autodesk, the makers of the AutoCAD tool have released several versions of the drawing formats over time. This tool supports all of them, starting from the release 2.5 right through to the recent 2013 version. The utility presents a simple interface; most users should be able to use the tool easily without the need for any significant training. The tool offers batch processing features so that you are able to process a bunch of these drawings. When including the files for processing you could specify a folder. The order of processing could be changed. In that case all the sub-folders also could be included if you check the option. The Pro version of the tool offers a command line interface in addition. The command-line is for experienced users who get comfortable with use of parameters and issuing commands. If you have a need for this kind of conversions in high volume, it makes sense to use this kind of a tool rather than tying up a full AutoCAD seat for this kind of conversion work.
