AtTacK PiNG Description

AtTacK PiNG is a lightweight and portable application that enables you to send numerous pings of large sized to IP addresses. It can be used by administrators for evaluating the firewall strength, for instance. Since installation is not a requirement, you can just drop the executable file somewhere on the hard disk and click it to run. Alternatively, you can move AtTacK PiNG to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any workstation with minimum effort. What's more, the Windows Registry does not get new entries, and leftovers are not kept on the hard disk after eliminating the utility; a standard file deletion is enough to accomplish this goal. The interface is made from a plain window with a WYSIWYG layout. All you have to do is specify the target IP address, ping size and count, and timeout. Plus, you can set the ping counter to run until it is manually stopped. The application uses a very low quantity of CPU and RAM, and has a good response time. However, it just calls a Command Prompt dialog and enters the parameters you set; this process can be directly configured in a Command Prompt window by any experienced user.
