Here is the official description for AmVisibilityCMX: AmVisibilityCMX is a contextual menu plugin, which allows you to change the visible attribute of the selected files/Folders from the contextual menu. To make an invisible item to visible, select the folder which contains directly the invisible item, then display the contextual menu. The invisible items contained in the folder are displayed in the submenu "Make Visible" of contextual menu "Visiblility". It changes the visible state of files or folders by changing the Finder flags. Although Finder does not display a file or folder which the name starts with period (.) and registered in .hidden file, AmVisibilityCMX does not support these files/folders.
