Airfoil for Windows Description

From Rogue Amoeba Software: Airfoil for Windows is a utility for Windows, enabling users to send any audio from their Windows machine to a host of devices around the house, all in sync. Airfoil uses the AirPlay audio protocol to send audio to remote speakers including iOS devices, other computers, as well as AirPlay hardware devices including the Apple TV, AirPort Express, and third-party AirPlay devices from companies like JBL and iHome. With Airfoil, users can take audio from any application on the Mac and send it around the house or office. By default, AirPlay audio works only with iTunes - Airfoil opens it up to all applications. With Airfoil, users can transmit sounds from media players like Wi- nAmp or Spotify, as well as audio from Web-based applications like Pandora, Last.fm. Airfoil also includes Airfoil Speakers, which runs on other Windows machines, turning those devices into audio receivers.
