AZ Paint is, in fact, two tools in one. Actually, the full name of this application is AZ Paint & Animated GIF Editor, and this second utility adds more interesting features to this already feature-rich tool. With AZ Paint, you can draw your own pictures and color them in any way you like, using its selection of built-in tools – geometric shapes, curved and straight lines, Bezier curves, spray, lasso, etc. – or draw freehand. With its GIF Editor, you can create your own animated sequences of pictures and edit existing ones. This simple drawing tool offers you all the basic functionality you would expect from similar applications (as those listed above), and some more. In fact, it offers you many more! Together with all the drawing and coloring tools you may need, AZ Paint comes with extra utilities to rotate, to add text, to add layers, or to resize your drawings. You can also add any of its extensive list of professional effects, including color effects (such as grayscale, sepia, or black and white), correction effects (gamma, contrast, sharpen, soften, brighten, or darken), and a wide choice of effects that you will not find easily in many similar tools. These include shadows, 3D draw and perspective renditions, noise, fading effects, etc. Before moving into the animated GIF editor, it is important to note that AZ Paint can also help you with the metadata of your JPG digital images and photographs. It not only reads EXIF data, but can also edit and erase them, or synchronize the file date and time with the EXIF date and time, or to stamp your photos with information extracted from the EXIF data, etc. If you are good enough at drawing, you can create your own series of individual frames representing any kind of movement, and use them to create your own animated GIF file. For those with less drawing skills, the Animated GIF Editor may also create a series of frames automatically using any GIF file as a base image, or load a set of existing frames. You can also start the animation process from any AVI or ANI (Animated cursor) file. AZ Paint & Animated GIF Editor certainly offers you much more than what its simple name may imply.
