ASEPRITE Description

ASEPRITE was developed as an Open Source animated sprite editor and pixel art instrument. You can use ASEPRITE to create animated sprites, static tiles, or just pixel art. Basically you can manipulate any kind of raster graphics, where images are conformed by a grid of pixels, little squares distributed in a rectangular way. E.g. When you see a photo in your computer, you almost does not notice the existence of pixels (they are too small). But when you see little images in your mobile phone, you can appreciate the pixels. ASEPRITE is a program to see and manipulate pixels, to create this kind of little images.
