AML Easy DVD Converter is an application designed to help you encode DVDs to media files of multiple formats, including AVI, MP4, MOV, WAV and WMA. It can be easily used by individuals of any experience level. The interface of the program is plain and simple to navigate through. You can import a DVD into the list by using the file browser or treeview only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is not allowed. In the queue you can read the title, name, audio and subtitle information, along with start time of the DVD. So, all you have to do is establish the output destination and file type, in order to proceed with the encoding job. Moreover, you can configure audio and video settings when it comes to the codec, bit rate, frame rate, size, aspect ratio, sample frequency rate and channel mode. Plus, you can select the audio language and subtitle stream, preview clips in a small, built-in media player, choose individual DVD chapters for processing, change the interface language, and more. The DVD conversion software needs a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task, supports keyboard shortcuts and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our testing. There's also a well-drawn help file with snapshots that you can look into. Unfortunately, AML Easy DVD Converter wasn't able to convert the audio stream in multiple cases during our tests (the image quality is preserved at a good level). Also, you cannot change the program's behavior (e.g. set the tool to automatically turn off the computer after encoding). We recommend AML Easy DVD Converter with reservations.
