AFP Printer Description

AFP Printer is a program that allows the users to create AFP documents from any Windows application. AFP is an acronym of Advanced Function Printing, a document format designed for providing typical form printing on IBM laser printers. AFP generates very small files that contain all the information on a large quantity of files often used in banks, insurance and government offices. AFP printers can place data at any addressable point on a page, not being limited to line and column numbers to do that. This software installs the AFPDS / IPDS / AFP print driver as a new real printer. So, when you send any document from a Windows application for printing, this program will create an AFP document with a page segment, medium overlay, and AFP overlay. The generated documents will have the appearance of the original ones, as well as the AFP flexibility options. This way, you will create AFP documents that can be used in any IBM mainframe.
