4Videosoft DVD Audio Extractor does exactly what its name says - it allows you to grab any of the audio streams present in a DVD movie and save it in the audio format of your choice. The list of audio codecs supported covers all the most popular ones, both compressed and uncompressed, both lossy and lossless, so that you choose that one that better fits your needs. The program's main interface will list all the titles and chapters present in the disc, as well as the type of audio associated to each of them. You can then choose to extract the audio of all the files included in the disc (trailers and announcements included) or just specific video chapters and/or titles. You can also merge all the fragments selected into one single file, so that the extraction process produces just one audio file. You can use the small preview window on the right side to make sure that you have selected the right fragments you want to extract the audio from. To fine-tune your selection, you can also make use of the built-in video editor to trim specific chapters, in order to leave out unwanted fragments in a more accurate way. This editing tool comes also with some video enhancing tools, but I do not think that improving the brightness, the contrast, or the saturation level of the movie will make your audio file sound better. There is one thing though that you can do here to improve the output file - change the volume of the selected audio stream. This audio extraction tool supports a wide range of audio codecs - from uncompressed (WAV or AIFF) to compressed (MP3 or Ogg) and from lossless (FLAC) to lossy (AC3).
