Inventory software for general stores 4POS SC is aimed at the store that needs a multi terminal point of sale solution. The 4POS SC server application has the same functionality and look as our 4POS Retail and may simply be used as a stand alone point of sale terminal with no clients. In use in a multi terminal situation it is typically used as the main sales terminal (or as a back office server) with up to five clients installed in the same workgroup each of which allow the main sales operations to be processed. The server contains the database management system with no inventory information held on the clients. No additional hardware is required by either the server or clients but facilities are provided for receipt printers, cash drawers and pole displays. Transactions are individually allocated with a secure associate log on for easy trackablility Professional print facilities provided include custom receipts with logo and barcode printing. Advanced easy to use interface The ideal solution for any small or medium size business that needs to do retail sales with powerful reports and transaction tracking. The server client design is an advance on the standard file sharing methods and requires far less data be transferred over the network. Easy functionality The server program may be used simply with no additional hardware (or clients) and is designed to offer rapid use with various keyboard shortcuts. The client setup just involves the name of the computer with the server application, no other configuration is required. Flexible hardware options with touch screen support It may be coupled with a bar code scanner and is designed to allow the main operations to be used from a touch screen. The program can be configured to work with most receipt printers and cash drawers. A custom receipt and byline may be designed. Several formats are built in ready to use. Pole displays are also supported. License The price includes a single server license and five client licenses. In depth reports A wide variety of takings and category reports are available. The F12 key pulls up an overview of the most useful information. An email report and log can be sent. Barcode printing The program supports wedge type barcode readers and will print both most commonly used Code 39 and EAN (UPC-A) barcodes on a variety of labels. Flyers and reminders The program will print several reminder letters with customer and item detail, customizable mailmerge (selected customers) circulars to increase your profitability. Deployment The server application contains the database management system and may simply be used as a stand alone point of sale terminal with no clients. The file structure is identical to that of our standard 4POS Retail permitting a straightforward upgrade path. The client program offers the common point of sale functions and as no local database is maintained requires minimal maintenance. It takes all but a few local settings (printer, till) from the server. Daily sales The program can simply produce daily item sales, restock lists and also export in CSV format for further analysis. Taxes Non, one or two taxes may be specified with configurable descriptions. Dual currency A second currency may be displayed and also printed on the custom receipts.
