myGovID is an easy and secure way to prove who you are online. While your myGov account is your gateway to government online services, myGovID proves who you are its like the 100 point ID check on your phone. At present you cannot use your myGovID to access myGov.Set-up once, then use your myGovID to unlock selected government online services when you want and where you want. Your myGovID can be used for personal or business matters, or both. More and more government online services are using myGovID.Set up your myGovID in three easy steps:1. Download the myGovID app2. Enter your details including your full name, date of birth and email address. The email address you use must only belong to you.3. Add your identity documents prove who you are with two of the following identity documents (your name must match in all). Your details are checked against existing government records.Australian drivers licence or learners permitAustralian birth certificateMedicare cardAustralian passportIf youve had a change in name, you may be able to use a change of name or marriage certificate to verify this.Your personal information wont be shared without your permission - putting you in control.You need to be 15 years or older to set up a myGovID. However, you may need to be older than 15 to access and use some government online services.
