Automatically displays images periodically. Image was developed for the User who wants to have an image displayed periodically for various reasons (loved one, goal, vacation memory, etc.).When you launch Image, you see the Image Control Panel. Use the top slider to set on-screen time (1 to 15 sec). Use the bottom slider to set the time between displays (1 to 60 minutes).Images are displayed on the center of the screen on top of everything. Images display as you work on other applications. You can choose to have images displayed in list or random order. Above, the User has selected for images to be displayed in list order for 10 seconds every 30 minutes.If the "Fill Display" checkbox is unchecked, images are displayed at the original image height and width on a white background; otherwise, images are resized to fill the display. If the "Auto Minimize" checkbox is checked, the Control Panel is minimized upon launch. Click on the Image icon in the Dock to bring it back onto the display.The Control Panel can be dragged out of the way or minimized (click on the small yellow button at the top left of the window - DO NOT use the Hide Image menu pick). Click on the Image Control Panel to see the Image menu bar where you can access the Image Maintenance Window, Check for Update, and access the Help Window. Close the application by clicking on the small red button at the top left of the window.At the first launch of Image, a new folder titled "Image Pictures" is created in the Users/~/Documents folder. Copy images that you want to use with Image into the Image Pictures folder. Images may be jpg, tif, tiff, png or gif files. Images must use the appropriate suffix (e.g., FileName.jpg, FileName.tif, FileName.tiff, FileName.png, or FileName.gif). Images in the Image Maintenance window table are synchronized with images in the Image Pictures folder at launch. New images are added at the bottom of the table. Deleted images are removed from the table and also deleted from the Image Pictures folder.Because a display's width is wider than its height, it is best to use landscape formatted images. However, you may use portrait format images that are smaller (in pixels) than the display height resolution. If you use portrait formatted images that are larger than the display height resolution, the images may be rotated.The Image Maintenance window (accessed from the menu bar) helps you manage images.All images in the Image Pictures folder appear in the table.Add Categories to organize your images into easily managed groups (e.g., Family, Honeymoon, Vacation, etc.). If you make a Category and then decide to change its name, delete it and create a new Category with the new name.Control-click an image name to see the image in the area to the right of the table.Command-click an image name to change it, usually from something like "DSC01000.jpg" to a descriptive name.Command-click an image name to delete the image from the table and from the Image Pictures folder. (Be sure the original file is saved somewhere else.)Categories are added at the bottom of the table or immediately below a selected row. Click and drag images and Categories up or down in the table if you want to change their positions.Only checked images are considered for display. You can check individual images, double-click a Category to check all images in that Category, or shift-double-click a Category to uncheck all images in that Category.Image is able to save the Control Panel settings and Image Maintenance Window contents between sessions.
