A Firefox add-on that allows you to search Google by using SSL encryption The Secure Google Search add-on lets you perform secure searches by simply typing the key phrase that you are looking for in the search box, on the top of your browser. The Secure Google Search add-on also provides you search suggestions.Moreover, the Secure Google Search add-on uses HTTPS instead of HTTP. Google announced support for SSL encryption on their search page on May 21st, 2010. Note that this does not protect you from Google storing your search terms if you have that preference enabled while logged in. Also note that Google's SSL service is a bit spotty at the moment as they roll it out across their server farms - so sometimes your searches get redirected back to the regular unsecured Google homepage.
