Automate knitting up CVS repositories from existing source packages CvsKnit is a CVS automation suite to knit up various CVS repositories from existing source packages. This may be useful for starting revision management with CVS.You can find out when a file has been added, modified, removed, or moved, or for browsing source diffs or annotating between packages via a Web interface.NOTE: CvsKnit is licensed and distributed under the terms of the BSD License. Here are some key features of "CvsKnit": · You can auto-create your own repository with any packages · You can commit sources into local/remote repository (in any branch) automatically cvsknit also useful as cvs managemnet tool: · Verify checkout-tree's CVS/Root are varid (or local) · Recursive file remove wituout CVS directory · Recursive cvs add (Unfortunately "cvs add" doesn't support this feature) · Abstruct automation whether package(s) are bziped, are ziped, have CVS directories (why), without root(single) directory, or have different name of root directory, ... ALL will be treated as you hope · Logging before commit, includes transition detection between source packages with file name · If you need, changing system date before commit (You must research each release date you want to knit) · Fully customizable. You can lint, patch, correcting line-feed or binary format, remove/add specific file(s) before commit What's New in This Release: CHANGES: · Change option '-v' from '--version' to '--verbose' · A new tool simplifies / automates knitwork settings. · PKG_ARCHIV in Knitdef.txt will suppress auto setting. · Checking extract tools by setting PKG_CMD_MANDATORY become redundant. · Creating temporary symlink in Knitcase.txt also become redundant. (If you're in trouble, defs/B-Free and defs/TOPPERS may help you as sample cases) · Checking extract tools by file name with ck_reel · Extract packages by file name with ck_reel · Set date with TZ (Timezone) with FreeBSD date(1) FEATURES: · Separate extract manager as a new tool · Can treat tar/gzip/bzip2/lzh/zip archives · Extract them by calling suitable extractor · Extract them into specified directory by checking and creating temporary symlink to the directory (If 'foo1.1.tgz' has a directory 'foo1.1/' and foo1.2.tgz has foo1.2/, ck_reel can extract both into foo/.) DEFS: · defs/(ALL) - Simplify (See CHANGES above) · defs/ B-Free, HOS-v4, Namazu, OSASK, TOPPERS - QKC output none if '--quiet' is set · defs/B-Free - Added BTRON-Yami and old EOTA packages · Correct release date, tag etc. · defs/Blender - Removed as obsolete one. · defs/CCVS - Added latest 1.12.5 (feature) and 1.11.11 (stable) · defs/Canna - Added 3.7 (latest) · defs/OSASK - Added 4.3 (latest) · 4.0 package had been broke? · defs/STL - Added STLport 4.6 (latest) · Default $MODULE_NAME changes from 'stl' to 'STLport' · Correct branches' name as it would be in STLport.org · defs/TOPPERS - Added config-1.3 and 1.4 (latest) · Repackaging iimp_full.zip to iimp_full.tar.gz become obsolete. ck_reel treats both *.tar.gz and *.zip.
