AppleScript droplet for compressing a batch of files using many different compression schemas CompressIt is a free and easy to use AppleScript based droplet which is designed to allow quick access to the world of compression schemas under the hood of OS X. You can use the CompressIt script as a free alternative to Drop Stuff by Stuffit. Currently, CompressIt provides many different file compression schemas; zip, tar, tar->gzip, tar->LZW, bz2, and compressed DMG.
