wyoFiler Description

wyoFiler - A filer showing the directory hierarchy and the files in the same tree window wyoFiler shows all directories and files of a base directory in one tree window. Files and directories can be manipulated and selected across the whole hierarchy, from the base directory all the way down to the lowest level. Selected items may be in different directories on different levels. The base directory itself may be switched to any other convenient directory. All file manipulations are done in the background, so multiple commands are possible simultaneously. The filer can display multiple base directories in tabbed notebook pages or separate top level windows.Here are some key features of "wyoFiler":· Single tree window for directories and files per base directory· Multiple base directories in notebook pages and/or separate top level windows· Selection possible within the full hierarchy of a base directory· Automatic updating of directories· Background file manipulations (copy, move, delete, etc.) with/without log· Drag & drop support between windows or to/from other applications· Full keyboard and/or mouse operation possible (currently not torough)· Sorting after different columns· Expression based filtering (currently not implemented)· Mime types support (currently not implemented)· Linux bundles support (currently not implemented)· Archive handling support (currently not implemented)· Remote file handling support, e.g. FTP, SMB (currently not implemented)· Synchronization with CVS, etc repositories (currently disabled)· Conforms to the wyoGuide guidelines
