png8 Description

png8 is a command-line based and open source utility that uses pngnq and/or pngquant to help you batch convert your images to 8-bit PNGs. The converted image files are then run through pngout if available to greatly reduce their size.The files are automatically overwritten and a backup is created with a .backup.png extension.
