bashup Description

A free and open source shell script for backing up data on remote hosts bashup is an easy to use , open source but complex shell script for automating backups. bashup is designed to have a minimum set of requirements (e.g. no external language interpreter like ruby, python, perl). bashup provides you with tasks for backing up directories, mysql, oracle, postgresql and subversion data, compressing them with bzip2 or gzip, sending them via ftp, rsync, scp or Amazon S3, and even rotating them through this methods.bashup also features an extensible error reporting mechanism.Installation: Download the archive, unarchive it to a directory of your choice, and run it from a Terminal window using the following command: ./bashup What's New in This Release: · added interpretation of dates in filenames to destination_ssh_file and destination_ssh_directory (patch by Anselm Helbig) · added support for lzma (patch by Caspar Clemens Mierau
