Automatically converts video files placed in a user-specified directory VideoEngine is an open source toolkit containing an AppleScript and shell script based programs to watch a folder, automatically convert video files added to said folder, and automatically tag them using TheTVDB.com's API. They are converted into the current cutting edge standardized video format (H.264 in MP4), which is the standard format for iTunes video, and the standard codec for essentially any video you see online today.The software is extremely useful if you deal with a lot of video that people need to watch (as in someone who records a lot of video or is running a YouTube-like service), or if you download TV shows.
