Simply School US - A very user friendly school administration system Simply School is a multi-user pre-K to 12 school information system.It makes it easy to track:· Students: teacher, room, grade, parents, any relative, siblings, doctors, hospitals, medical records, classes, emergency info, attendance records, history· Applicants: contact info, grade applied for, application status, academic evaluationFaculty & Staff: contact info, class, personnel records, medical info, family contacts· Alumni: contact info, history· Board members: contact info· Donors: contact info, pledges, donations, matching contributions, individuals or organizations, thank you letters.It also provides several built-in reports with numerous options, built-in labels and form letter editors that fulfill all your reporting needs.Here are some key features of "Simply School US":· Most, if not all, other packages require users to be trained in how to use them. In some cases school staff have to be sent on a multi-day course on the other side of the country. They don't like it, you can't afford it, and chances are they still need technical support when they return, before they can be productive. Simply School requires little or no training. You start at the Main Menu and click on the button to take you where you want to go.· Simply School means there is less work entering information. All information is contained within a window that requires no scrolling to see missing fields that might be hidden in other programs. Automatic features mean that duplication of entry is avoided wherever possible, e.g. if you designate a driver for one of a group of siblings, all siblings automatically get the same driver assigned to them (you can always override this if necessary). If you enter a person's information once, you never have to enter that person's details again. If you change their information, it automatically changes everywhere they appear in Simply School; even if, for instance, they have left the school, become an alumnus, and then become a doctor.· Medical information is entered in a form that is easy to follow and comprehensive. No need to find those paper immunization records again.· There is no need to restrict access to a single or a few administrative staff. Simply School is so easy to learn, anyone can use it, and with security settings in place, people can only see the information they are allowed to see.· Simply School supports private notes, so that key school personnel can make notes without anyone else being able to see them.· Attendance recording provides all the functionality required to record, report on and analyze daily attendance.· Reports on attendance for every student in the school or selected rooms or grades over user-definable time periods. See a whole week at a time and quickly switch between weeks to see patterns in attendance. Enter attendance information for individual students or a whole room at a time. · Attendance records can be entered and reviewed for every teacher's room. A live summary keeps track of the attendance totals as you go, alerting you to problems right away.· Automatically generate letters home when user-defined number of days or absence or tardiness exceeded in a user-specified period.· Once a student leaves the school, their information is not lost. They get transferred into the Alumni file, where you can continue to keep tabs on them throughout their academic career and beyond.· Applicants to the school are supported as well. You can keep records on each potential new student's application. Once they are accepted, you can transfer them to the Students file with a single click.· Over 30 report types are built-in, most coming with sufficient options to cover every eventuality. Almost unlimited form letters can be added and saved with simple built-in editing tools. Get the message out to potential donors. Let everyone know about upcoming events simply.· Custom labels can be created in a variety of sizes with virtually unlimited content. In the event that is not enough, new reports can be added as "user" reports. Using "user" reports means unlimited reporting is available to someone with sufficient knowledge to create a FileMaker report.· Record keeping doesn't stop with the students. You can maintain all your staff records too. All this info can be restricted to just those people with a need to know.· And how about the school board? All their info can be kept in Simply School as well. Many are often parents. If they are already entered into the system, you can add them to Board Members with a few quick clicks. No information needs to be re-entered.· The optional fundraising module makes short work of entering pledges, donations, keeping tabs on individual funds, annual reports, and generating thank you letters. Anyone or any organization can be a donor and matching funds contributors are also included.Requirements:· 28 MB RAM minimum· 60 MB minimum spare hard disk space.Limitations:· A maximum of 30 people can be entered. These people can be of any type: students, parents, board members, faculty, donors, etc.· No records can be imported from another copy of Simply School.· When running under Windows, due to limitations in the runtime version of FileMaker used for the demo, windows can not be closed using the close box. · The optional school directory module is not included.
