Quite Revealing is a plug-in for Adobes Acrobat Quite Revealing is a plug-in for Adobe's Acrobat from Quite Software, for Macintosh (including Mac OS X) and Windows.Extremely easy to use, Quite Revealing is designed for pre-press professionals, and those producing files for press use (much as we hate to admit it, if you don't work in design for press, or pre-press, or don't know what pre-press is, this plug-in probably won't help you).It aims to show information that is otherwise difficult to find about a PDF document. Information like the plates used, exactly where fonts are used, transparency, overprinting and more. This information is often difficult to find when your preflight tools have produced a report that tells you what is wrong with the file but not where. That's where Quite Revealing comes in.But Quite Revealing goes further than that. It can also fix some of the more awkward problems that can arise - like differently named spot plates, unwelcome transfer functions, or ICC profiles that don't belong.Here are some key features of "Quite Revealing": Find:· Colour issues (Spot, Process and RGB)· ICC Profiles· Fonts· Transparency· Overprinting· Halftones· Transfer Functions Fix:· Rename, recolour or combine Spot plates· Convert Spot to process· remove halftones· remove or apply Transfer· Remove ICC Profiles, RGB and Process tagging. The central control panel and one button fixes make this plug-in an uncomplicated and easy plug-in to use.Limitations:· You can use it for a 30 day free trial.Requirements:· A computer running a full copy of Adobe Acrobat 6.0x (Standard or Professional), 5.0x or 4.0x. The free Reader will not work. Earlier versions of Acrobat will not work.· For the Macintosh version, a Macintosh running MacOS 9.1 or later. To run native in OSX, Acrobat 5.05 or 6.0 is required. Quadras and other "68K" Macintoshes will not work. Please read Adobe's system requirements carefully. For instance, Acrobat 6.0 requires Mac OS X.2 or above.
