JiraClones is an utilituy that allows the configuration of JIRA in order to automatically create clones of JIRA issues based on their fix versions. Creating clones of issues will allow you to track the resolution and testing of issues for parallel releases and development streams individually.JiraClones is perfect for companies who are maintaining in parallel, multiple releases of a product. Generally, as each release of a product progresses at its own independent pace, 'A' bug found in an old release is likely to be applicable for newer releases of the same product. Therefore a single JIRA bug ticket is not viable for tracking changes to many different releases. Although Atlassian implement a feature to allow a single ticket to address multiple 'FixVersions', this has limited functionality. More than often, organisations who need to track bugs which apply to more than one release of a tool find themselves manually duplicating tickets, their content and having to work out exactly which release the bug is targeted for.
