GrowlFox Description

Firefox addon that shows a Growl notification when a downloaded file is completed. GrowlFox displays a Growl notification when a download completes. It uses AppleScript to pass notifications to growl and so does not require growlnotify to be installed. All that's needed is a Mac with Firefox and Growl.By default, GrowlFox displays the downloaded files icon in the notification. To change this to the Firefox icon, open about:config in Firefox, search for growl and double click extensions.growl.fileicon. The value for the preference should change to false.The GrowlFox extension allows you to display a Growl notification when every download completes.Note: The addon is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
