GTLRegEx Description

Test, generate and learn regular expressions GTLRegEx is a free and open source, Java based application that allow users to test, generate and learn regular expressions. This project was born because of the complexity of regular expressions and because there is no freeware regrouping all the features we wanted to use. Here are some key features of "GTLRegEx": · Allow users to easily and quickly create new regular expressions from an item library tree grouping all the tools of regex. · Dynamically alert the user whether or not the current regular expression is valid, and show him/her where the error is. · Display a tree of the current regular expression, making it easier to understand. · Allow the user to undo or redo typing in the regular expression panel. This number of undo can be changed in the settings. · Allow the user to enter/load/save a text to test the regular expression. · Can apply regular expressions to a text and display the result matches in two ways. First by building a tree of the different matches seperated in groups, secondly by highlighting the matches in the current text. · Export regular expressions into several languages (Java, C#, PHP, Python) by simply clicking on the export panel. · Multi language easily changeable. Possibility to add new languages by adding a pack of files. · Multi platforms, uses Java and is able to render all the lookAndFeels available on the local JVM. · Very complete settings allowing to change the undo/redo level, the skin, the language.
