GPOPS Description
Free and open source Gauss pseudospectral optimal control software GPOPS is a MATLAB program for solving non-sequential multiple-phase optimal control problems. GPOPS makes use of the the Gauss pseudospectral method (GPM). Here are some key features of "GPOPS": · Ability to Solve Multiple-Phase Optimal Control Problems (Including Problems with Non-Sequential Phases); · Compact Yet Powerful Interface that Uses Cell Arrays in MATLAB; · Variety of Methods for Computation of Objective Function Gradient and Constraint Jacobian (Finite-Difference, Complex-Step, and Automatic Differentiation ) What's New in This Release: Updates to the Automatic Differentiation Package: · New version of horzcat.m · New version of vertcat.m · Addition of several inadvertently omitted functions · Addtion of matrix power for positive integer exponents · Updates to file to ensure backward compatibility with GPOPS 1.x · Other minor bug fixes The following new examples: · Goddard Rocket Problem (Aerospace Engineering) · Lee-Ramirez Bioreactor (Chemical Engineering) · Minimum-Time Transfer of a Robot Arm (Mechanical Engineering)
