Email Warden Description

Firefox extension that lets you create and store email addresses generated for each visited website. Generates and remembers a specific email address for every website you visit. Email Warden works by forwarding email to your 'protected' email address. Our Extension will make your email address safer from the sites that sell them away. Once you have reported an email address, you may deactivate that email alias to prevent any more emails from being sent to your protected email address.Email Warden will monitor the web sites you go to and generate an aliased email address for you to enter on the web site (or you can click on the email box on the Email Warden toolbar to generate one). Any emails sent back to the aliased email, will be automatically forward to the email address you entered into Email Warden’s setup. Information about the site will be included on the email. You can then send us feedback about that web site so that we can rate each site as to their spam risk. The more users of Email Warden, the better our ratings become. As you visit sites with high feedback ratings from our user base, the Email Warden toolbar ratings grid increases from green to red. Red ratings mean the site is a definite email seller and it would be a good idea to steer clear.The Email Warden extension allows you to modify any email address any time you want.Note: The addon is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. Here are some key features of "Email Warden": · You can turn off a disposable email address at any time. · Change your email at any time and avoid changing every site you go to. · Hide your identity. The system picks a random name combination and will not reveal your real name. · Forwarded email comes with an Email Warden header that gives you more information about the email sender. It will also allow you to shut off the Disposable Email Address in case it is getting Spammed. · We maintain Ratings based off the number of spam and type of spam sent from servers.
