Aperture Assistant Description

An automation helper for Apple's Aperture application. Aperture Assistant is an automation helper for Apple's Aperture application. It allows you to easily set up complex tasks and workflows via visual flowcharts.Use source nodes to get images from Aperture. Use text nodes to get information about the images, do find-and-replace etc. Use action nodes to export files, change metadata etc. Use decision nodes to do different things to different images. You can add links and nodes to the work area by dragging them from the toolbar at the top. Delete nodes and links by moving the mouse over them and clicking on the close button.Run a preflight check by clicking on the green button top-left. Once the check has run, you will get a report showing what happens to the images. Run the workflow by clicking on the red button top-right. Here are some key features of "Aperture Assistant": · Export images using different presets depending on metadata/ratings etc. · Export to different folders depending on metadata. · Export echoing Aperture's internal organisational structure. · Open exported files in another application, without setting up a hot folder. · Set metadata and Version Names from other metadata, for instance setting up more complex date naming. · Find and replace in metadata. · Find all the Albums that a Version appears in. · Make Burn Folders directly from the Masters, whether they are managed or referenced. · Create Keynote presentations with body and title text based on metadata. · Find and tag duplicate Masters. Requirements: · Aperture 1.5.6 or later (2.1 or later highly recommended) · Aperture 2.0 and 2.0.1 are NOT recommended for use with Aperture Assistant due to slow AppleScript performance. If you're running Aperture 2.0 or 2.0.1 please update to 2.1, it's free! · Quicktime 7.1 or later Limitations: · 15 day trial period. What's New in This Release: · Misc - tested to work with Aperture 2.1.3. · New Feature - ability to search for projects/folders/albums by name. · Bugfix - if the user swapped Aperture Libraries while Aperture Assistant was open, Aperture Assistant would still read information from the old Library instead of using the newly opened one.
