ALT Linux IceWM Description

ALT Linux IceWM is a lightweight, free, easy-to-use and open source ALT Linux-based operating system that uses the IceWM window manager and it has been specifically designed to be used on old systems. As expected, the IceWM edition of ATL Linux features lightweight applications, such as the Leafpad text editor, Midnight Commander file manager, Synaptic Package Manager, ScreenGrab screen capture program, GQview image viewer, Mutt email client, Mozilla Firefox web browser, as well as a PPPoE GUI for connecting broadband networks. ALT Linux IceWM is distributed as Live DVD ISO images with support for the 64-bit architecture, as well as the 32-bit one, and providing persistent sessions that allows users to save their settings and re-use the live system directly from the live media (only available for USB flash drives). You will also be able to install the system locally with the included installer. ALT Linux is an open source, free, installable and easy to use GNU/Linux operating system that provides various editions, which include the MATE, GNOME, Cinnamon, KDE, Razor-qt, WindowMaker, Enlightenment, Xfce, and other popular desktop environments.
