bbswitch Description

bbswitch is an open source module for the Linux kernel especially designed to allow owners of Optimus laptops to switch between their dedicated graphics card. At this time only Nvidia is supported. bbswitch has been successfully tested and work well with the following two Optimus laptops: Dell Vostro 3500 - GT 310M and Clevo B7130 - GT 425M. Please note that you will not be able to switch graphics cards as long as the video drive is loaded, eight the open source Nouveau or the proprietary Nvidia one. It supports suspend and hibernation.
