COMMAPI Description

Java API for the Core Ontology for Multimedia (COMM) The Core Ontology for Multimedia (COMM) is a well-founded, DOLCE and MPEG-7 based ontology for describing and annotating multimedia content. The COMMAPI provides a MPEG-7 inspired Java-API for creating COMM graphs in convenient fashion, without the need to fully understand the formal model.The COMM is hosted on the official homepage and can be considered stable. It might be extended with additional modules, though. The COMMAPI, however, is still under active development, and specifically task-oriented and easier apis for specific problems, or improvements on the general performance and usability are highly welcome. Please get in touch with the core development team if you want to be involved, or just publish your own branches. Requirements: · Java 2 Standard Edition Runtime Environment What's New in This Release: · We provide a new version of the COMM aligned with Dolce and DnS Ultralight. This version is work in progress, without documentation and is subject to future changes. We also provide a first draft of the CUL API. Both are located in lp:~commapi-dev-team/commapi/culapi-trunk.
